Do you have a dog that could use some physical enrichment and muscle building? This unique add on service is for you! In our Strength and Conditioning add on service, with each scheduled day our trainer, Jenna, takes your dog to our spacious training room to do some fitness activities and strength and conditioning! As an approved AKC FITDOG trainer, Jenna has the tools your dog needs to burn energy or to build a regular fitness routine!
Jenna's exercises are designed to work many muscle groups in a single session, and even a short session results in a worn out, happy dog!
Each session includes:
-A warm up walk to get the heart pumping and muscles warmed up
-A short segment of higher intensity cardio (depending on what your dog prefers, this may be fetch, a chase game, flirt pole, or chase and tug)
-A series of muscle building exercises focusing on each muscle group (1 core exercise, one rear end exercise, one front end exercise, and one proprioception exercise)
-A flexibility exercise (never manually manipulating a dog, but encouraging the dog to take safe positions to stretch out their muscles)
-A cool down walk
-
Training sessions can be added to your dog's daycare agenda! During your dog's stay, our trainer, Jenna, will bring your dog to our training area for a training session working on a topic of your request! Daily video summary of training session and update included! This is a great way to establish some obedience skills for your dog, touch up on some manners, train a specific request, or simply keep your dog engaged and enriched during their stay!
Frequent training requests include:
-General basic obedience (sit, down, stay, come when called, drop it, etc)
-Manners (jumping up on people, counter surfing, walking in public, leash skills, settling in distracting environments)
-Specific requests (tricks, resolving specific irritating behaviors like leash biting, fitness, finding what type of play/exercise your dog enjoys, or anxiety reducing training)
Pricing is $35 per session.
Please answer the booking questions regarding your training request. Jenna will also reach out to you to discuss your training needs before your daycare visit as well!

in this 30 minute add on session, trainer Jenna will take your dog to our training area to learn the trick of the month! This session includes a video or photo of your dog performing the trick to the best of their ability! Note: not every single dog will be able to execute the trick perfectly in a single session, though many do! Jenna will try her best to work towards the trick to the best of your dog's ability! December add ons include a personalized Holiday Photo of your dog doing our Holiday season trick!
December Trick of the Month: Get in box, sit in box (this is great for holiday photos, have your dog sit in a wrapped "present" box under the tree for great family pictures!)

Do you have a hound, another scent driven breed, or a dog that just loves to sniff and find? Make sure your dog doesn't get bored during their boarding stay with our Super Sniffers add on activity! With this activity, our trainer, Jenna, will bring your dog to our spacious training room to do some fun scent driven games and activities!
Each scheduled day will include:
Enrichment set up sniffy safari through the training room plus one of the following each day:
-shell game (a game of find it, where the dog has to find the single treat hidden under any of 1-10 cones, depending on dog's skill level)
-snuffle mat
-snuffle box (find treats strategically hidden inside a box of packing paper or towels)
-nose work test (a fun game where your dog is shown the object of their search -- a treat, a small piece of chicken or hotdog, or a tennis ball for advanced dogs-- and then is put in a crate or another room while the object is strategically hidden in the training room. The dog is then released to find the object!)
Obedience Group Classes
at Briggs Republic
Our obedience classes are group classes with no more than 5 dogs in any given class. The classes are 6 weeks long. Start dates available on our Calendar. We currently offer 2 levels of obedience training (3 for puppies) with more coming soon! We follow the APDT Canine Life and Social Skills Curriculum. We want you to have a dog trained for YOUR lifestyle and home. We do not focus excessively on tedious competition style obedience exercises, rather we practice skills for real life situations your family dog encounters on a daily basis!
Each 6 week class is $200
-
This six week class is appropriate for dogs under 4 months old. We focus heavily on puppy social skills, socialization to new sights, sounds, and experiences, and the foundational obedience cues that will give you the control you need to survive puppyhood!
