About the Trainer

Hi! My name is Jenna and I am the owner at Best Paw Forward Dog Training! I have a passion for helping dog owners find a happy, healthy, and cooperative relationship with their dogs! I have trained professionally for 4 years, and I have loved every minute of it! I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), a member of International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP), an approved AKC STAR Puppy instructor, Canine Good Citizen (CGC, CGC-U, CGC-A) evaluator, AKC Trickdog Evaluator, AKC FITDOG level 1 instructor, and I am an approved judge for the AKC Temperament Test and Farm Dog Certified.

  • Sashimi Steals Pie, NJP, TKI, FITB, CPE: CSL1-H, CSL1-R, CSL1-F

    Sasha is a 10+ year old Great Pyrenees mix rescue! You won’t see her in class, as I have retired her from demos and day to day work, but you may still see her on social medias and at trials! Sasha has titles in AKC agility, tricks, fitness, and CPE agility! She is a shining example of my work with reactive rescue dogs, and how they can grow to become stable, confident companions! She has beaten cancer twice, and she is still a vibrant wonderful dog! Her favorite activities include stealing food scraps her dad sneaks her, and laying on the couch while her dad plays video games!

  • Merlin XIII, TKA

    Merlin is my 1 year old Border Collie and my current demo dog. While still too young for the competition ring, he is an amazing up and coming agility dog! You will often see him in class with me to demonstrate skills for obedience and agility classes! Despite being too young to compete formally, he has still obtained his first three AKC Trickdog titles! If you want to see him do some fun tricks, check out his videos on youtube!

Location

Currently, my primary training location is out of the wonderful Willow Branch - Monticello location! We have a spacious training room with rubberized flooring, agility equipment, and much more!
